History

The Large Main door of Deodi LASHKAR JUNG was restored.

The deodi belonged to Lashkar Jung. His full name was Gulam Mohammed Taqi Khan. He was the head of the army (Laskar) of the 6th Nizam of Hyderabad, Asaf Jah VI, also known as, Sir Mir Mahboob Ali Khan, thus giving him the name Lashkar Jung.He was brother of Gulam Mohammed Jaffar Hussain Khan (Eradut Jung ll) & Gulam Mohammed Askari Khan (Sher Afgan Jung)

Devdi or Deodi is a noble mansion where the Nawabs of Hyderabad lived. The mansions had grand halls and serene courtyards.


Restoration


1. Replaced wooden members, realigned doors with handmade hinges

2. Added handmade missing iron knobs on the wooden panel of the door

3. Hand polished entire door and coated Matt finish PU MRF coat to protect form harsh weather.
