DARGAH HAZRATH BAND-E- SHAH SAHEB QIBLA is a Muslim cemetery located in the Old City of Hyderabad. It is the resting place of Mir Fayyazuddin Ali Khan Banda. Hazrath Qibla belonged to the Royal family of Asif Jahi kings. He was a great- great grandson of Mir Qamruddin Ali Khan – Asif Jah- I .

He was a great Sufi Poet. He gave up all his worldly wealth and material belongings and settled down in this Baagh(garden) and led a life of a Sufi Saint. He was a a good poet in Persian & urdu. His pen-name was “Fayyaz”. He was a disciple of Hazrath Khaja Mian Saab of Urdu Shareef (Hazrath Shaik Jee Haali) .

Amongst those laid to rest here is are his very close friends buried along side with him -Nawaab Farkhunda Yaar Jung , Nawaab Daleel Khan Jamedaar and Nawab Qhadeer Jung Qhuwwath Yavar- Ud –Dowla also known as Mir Mohammed Hassan Khan, who was the Son-in –Law of Hazrath Bande Shah Saheb and his grandson Nawab Qadeer Jung Bahadur.

He was a great ‘NOBLE’ of his time being associated with Asif Jaahi Kings notable among them was Mahboob Ali Paasha the Sixth Nizam of Hyderabad. He belonged to the family of Haz Baaqhee Billa (RH) and the family had migrated From Bukhaara in Central Asia.

Hazrath Band E Shah Saheb( Mir Fayyaz Uddin ali khan) was also known as Nawaab Qhuwwath Jung. He Married Sahebzaadi Liyaqath Unnisa Begum the daughter of great Paigah Noble Nawaab Iqbal - ud -Dowla. Nawaab Qadeer Jung Son of Nawaab Qhuwwath Jung, apart from holding some very important Government Posts, he enjoyed being one of the most trust-worthy nobles of his time also being close to the king Mahboob Ali Pasha.


Restoration


The Samaa’h Khaana ( courtyard) of the Dargah Hazrath Band E Shah Saheb was restored to its Original Shape and Design in authentic lime material .

•Extensive Lime Brick walls repaired, Grouting and stitching was done.
•Water tightening done on entire roof of the Courtyard.
•Terrace repair – removal of deteriorated lime bed from the roof and for the arch area, replaced back in three layers of lime concrete with water tightening.
•Arcade facade pillar was raked with cement plaster, Abrasive Cleaning and repointing in pillars and paster redone in plum line.
•Removal and replaster of the surface in lime on the Façade and back side external wall.
•Ceilings were repaired.
•Brick masonry removal and new brick masonry in lime and brick done.
•Restoration of masonry decorative cornices.
•Consolidation of brick and stone masonry to be done, filled gaps / grouted with traditional lime mortar.
