Named after the 6th Nizam of Hyderabad - Mir Mahboob Ali Khan Bahadur, The Mahboob Chowk area is considered to be an important part architectural heritage of Hyderabad.
The clock tower is erected amid the small garden, it has four large clocks on each side which enable the time to be seen from any direction. The clock tower is designed in the Turkish style. The tower is located west of the Charminar and very close to the Ladh Bazaar.
Deccan Terrain was part of restoration with other contractors and was entrusted to restore Wrought Iron railing on two floors, wood, iron and stonework repair and restoration of garden area as per original layout.
The railing on the balcony has 5 columns, three are in wrought and two were aesthetically made in wood and all five columns were aesthetically placed in alternate position, mounting of the wrought iron jaali [Grill] and floor repair was a challenge, more importantly crafting back the same design on the weekend / deteriorated wooden column was a challenge. The stone layout in the garden area were missing, pathways lost its line and uneven cobble stone layout made walking difficult around the garden.
